Watchlist 11/20/2009 – Blegh, glad I’m busy today, not much to short..

I had this as a short yesterday, would have been a little tough to play, but a lot of selling out of the gate. You could have in theory shorted at the crack of $3 or maybe even $2.90 and had a real nice quick drop. But I can’t remember, I’m pretty sure there were no borrows yesterday. It managed to recover but I still think its a POS so still on short watch. Just a few borrows today, so you’ll have to be quick. SHORT
Way to expensive for my tastes, but great looking chart! Almost straight vertical rise with a little weakness at the top. I love when stocks rocket up based on the fact that they lost LESS money then everyone thought. They are still money losers, just not as big of losers as everyone thought!! SHORT
I refuse to make any further comments on this, click here for the 500 watch lists of mine it has appeared on… Still on short watch. SHORT
This stock has moves thats for sure, tough to play but if your looking for action you can find some with OPP!! Err, I mean OPTT.. SHORT
Meh, I admit I was fishing on this one, crappy Israeli telecom services company, popped up to $2 then faded. No borrows I can find, but looks like it could be a good fade. If today was any other day then Friday I may try an afternoon fade if I could find shares, but since it is indeed Friday, I will be to scared of the “Friday afternoon short squeeze monster” to play it. SHORT
As mentioned above, AENY could have been a decent short if you were fast.
ALKS would have been a good short when it broke $9.15, nice 35 cents of downward action, then plenty of time to cover as it went sideways all day.
NABI indeed went down when it broke $4.80, so in theory I was right, but not enough downward action to make it worth a play, at least it would have been easy to cover your position since it never spiked after cracking a little.
You could have bought and shorted this all day since it jumps alot but there was never any clear play.
QMM had a little morning panic, but to fast to play then just lingered sideways all day.
SALM could have been a good play when it cracked $5, but the volume was TOTALLY non existent, so really tough to play.
Overall:
Technically I was right on all picks from yesterday, they all either went down or basically sideways (neutral) of course I also realize I was aided by the market tanking so I won’t crow too loudly. Nevertheless encouraging.

[...] Had this on short watch Friday, it faded lat Thursday, but another big pop Friday. I have no confidence in this turd, I’d love to see it fade late day today! Probably my top watch for today. SHORT [...]
