Me, Michael Goode of reapertrades.com, and Tim Sykes

I’ve been follower of Tim Sykes story and a so called “student” of his for about a year and a half. While I believe I have garnered immense amounts of information from him, I decided to participate in a group training session he held in Las Vegas this past weekend.

My primary goals for attending were to ideally sharpen my education on short selling piece of crap pennystocks and hopefully pick Tim’s brain on trading overall. While the amount of new information may have been lacking a little, I did throughly enjoy the session and would attend another one in a heartbeat. The only reason I state that I did not learn as much as I hoped was due to the fact that I do consider myself an “advanced pennystocker” whatever that is.. I have been following and trading pennystocks for about a year and have read tons and tons of books, blog posts, ebooks, watched DVD’s, practiced and refined trading rules and so on. So while I am far from a great trader I do believe I have a very firm understanding of how to trade profitably. Whether or not I do it successfully, now that is a different story. But this is in no way, shape or form because of the lack of great info Tim provides. Any lack of execution is directly related to my lack of implementing what he teaches.

So if you are new to pennystocks or are early in your education I would do anything possible to get yourself to one of Tim’s group or in person sessions!! His DVD’s and other services are great, but it was truly awesome to be able to watch him in person and pick his brain! He has to be easily the most accessible successful trader in the history of finance and truly enjoys teaching!

He was also gracious enough to throw together a small get together for all of the attendee’s at the MGM Centrifuge bar, and paid for a couple rounds of drinks. Unbeknownst to Tim, I think he may have underestimated my drinking capacity, I’m pretty sure I short squeezed his ass for about 5 or 6 drinks as opposed to the promised “1 round”, but hey, put together me, free and beer, and that tends to happen.

Pros:

Great education

Getting the oppurtunity to meet Tim and pick his brain

Also getting to meet Michael Covel and receive his DVD free

Great food and free drinks

Meet a bunch of cool fellow pennystockers

Meet Tim’s parents, a couple AWESOME people!!

Beating Reapers ass in Arm Wrestling

Meeting Nate of Investorslive.com

Cons:

A little basic for me, but I think I’m in the minority.

Fix your f’n computer or borrow someones Tim!! I had hoped for some of Tim’s interpratation of Level 2 and that was one of my primary reasons for attending, also it would have been nice to see realtime intraday charts.

Overall review:

Great stuff even with a couple glitches and minor disappointments, but considering the price there is NO WAY anyone could match the education!! Best value in the entire world of trading education, bar none!!
